I have a few minutes here and wanted to squeeze in a quickie post before the weekend. Blogspot has been experiencing many technical difficulties lately and between my usual time crunch and Blogspot's lost posts, lost comments, and even the complete inability to sign in to write, it's been difficult to get any posts done this month. I hope they get the problems taken care of soon.
My own shawls have been knit and my test knitters are busy clicking their needles away on the first pattern. A big thank you goes out to my lovely and talented testers Josefina, Becky, Diana, Gillian, Emily, Wiktoria, Michelle, Jessica and Melanie, who all bravely volunteered to be my guinea pigs for this shawlette.
Many of them have tested for me before and others are new, but all are doing a fantastic job.
The second shawlette pattern will follow eventually, but in between now and then I've been enjoying working on a summer top. The photo at the top of this post shows the swatch.
This version is being knit in Louet's now-discontinued MerLin Tristan merino/ linen blend in colorway "Mustard", but I have some other yarns and stitch patterns in mind to try as well.

This weekend my friend Lynn and I'll be attending the Great Lakes Fiber Show in Wooster, Ohio. This fun event is filled with yarn, fleece and fiber competitions, classes and demonstrations, animal exhibits, and barns full of vendors. If you are going to be there, please say hello, I'd love to meet some neighbors.
I hope everyone has a safe and fun weekend!
Have a nice "fun event".....
