Update

Summer has seemed almost as busy as the holiday season, what with outdoor events, yard work, family plans, health challenges, Independence Day, etc. My self-imposed deadline to publish my next shawl design - the end of August - is looming! But not to worry, things are looking good and the pattern should be released in the next week.

The pattern itself has been finished for a while, but there were tech editing, test knitting (with several test knitters on holiday) photography and other tasks to accomplish as well as a new project.

Although this new peripheral project has slowed up the pattern release somewhat, it's been a lot of fun and I can't wait to share it with you. Hint - I've seen this type of project done before but, at least in my experience, not by knitwear designers...

The blocking photo above shows the main pattern project, knit in my favorite purple color. I hope to post a few more complete project preview photos and details within the next few days here on the blog.

Lately I've been spending a lot of time sitting at my computer going over photos, outlining new designs and knitting swatches, interspersed by a Pinterest break every now and then for fun. I am definitely looking forward to the cooler temperatures and slower pace of fall, but I intend to enjoy the rest of the season, and I hope you enjoy the remainder of your summer as well.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great week and happy stitching!
