Amethiste Review & Free Pattern Giveaway

Stephanie, aka Ravelry member Hotpinksocks, contacted me recently to ask if she could review my latest shawl pattern, Amethiste, on her blog of the same name.

I was honored that she liked my design and I was even more thrilled by what she had to say about the pattern. Stephanie wrote a lovely post, and you can read the full review on her blog here.

I'm always happy when someone writes or tweets me to let me know about a blog or podcast mention, as too often I don't stumble upon it until months later (if you happen to come across a mention of my work anywhere online, I'd love to hear about it)!

Today I'm announcing my latest free pattern giveaway contest of free PDF copies of the Amethiste pattern for 3 winners! Here's how to enter:

1. This contest is open to all of my blog followers
2. Winners must either be Ravelry members or have email addresses where I can send the prize pattern. 
3. Post your answer, in the comments section, to this question: 

What do you wish designers would improve upon when writing a pattern? In other words, what is your greatest pet peeve or thing you would like to see change about knitting patterns either generally or specifically?  

And please, no designer, pattern or company names; I want to keep this in a positive mode!
