Quitting Knitting

This is extremely difficult for me to say, and makes me very sad, but after much thought and long debate, I am quitting knitting.  I've simply had it with all the swatching, blocking, frogging, frustrations and designing.

As painful as it may be, I am hanging up my needles, giving away all of my considerable stash yarn and calling it quits.  That also goes for crochet, spinning and other fiber arts.

I have to say thank you so much to all my friends, readers, fellow knitters, crocheters, spinners and everyone who has given me such encouragement through the years, it really means a lot to me.

AND...  I couldn't end this post without also saying that you've just been ...April fooled - gotcha'!  They'll have to pry my needles and yarn out of my cold, dead hands before I give up knitting voluntarily, LOL!

I hope you had a good laugh; I'll be back next week with WIP updates and other news.

Have a fun and safe weekend everbody!

  5. Diana, well now I know there is at least one other person besides myself who gets April Fooled! I always get tricked by everyone else, LOL. :)

  9. Hi Robin,

Even though I'm a brand new reader I thought 'that just doesn't sound right!' Once I finish some projects I want to knit the Fontana shawl :-)

  10. Well, darn...and here I was hoping to score some of that stash. LOL and just kidding! VERY good post - you had me totally fooled (and sad!), and that doesn't happen easily. :-)

  11. Anna, Mette, and Laurie - Thanks for the notes about the post, sorry if I caused anyone any concern!! It's nice to know I fooled at least a few people though... I am so gullible and easily fooled by everyone else, but am hardly ever successful at jokes myself! ;-)
